Shalimar Kabob Restaurant is named after Shalimar Gardens in Lahore, Pakistan. The Shalimar Gardens were built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in 1640. The gardens hold three level terraces and 410 fountains. The genius of the architecture and engineering are still marveled at today.
